The latest WASDE report by the US Department of Agriculture supports our long position in wheat. There is further upside in food prices to come as production falters and global stocks fall, alongside increased demand, from China in particular. Crop harvests in the next year remain uncertain given the La Nina (cooler ocean) phase affecting the southern hemisphere.
