Rinse, repeat

Turkey’s easy monetary policy stance and domestic credit boom is starting to feed back into higher inflation. But with the central bank under political pressure to keep nominal rates low and with real rates already depressed the risk we enter into a renewed inflationary spiral is growing. While the lira has been steady it is starting to look rich fundamentally again. We would be short Turkish lira against the euro.
