The US budget deal – why it doesn’t matter and then does – an international perspective

From an internationalist perspective, the US Congress budget deal is bad news. It is not critical to ensure support for Ukraine this year and a good part of next. However, next year’s funding for Ukraine is in grave danger. Funding Ukraine will no longer have bipartisan support. The damage to the unity of the Democratic Alliance is the casualty.
