UK: Brexit – no turning back
Report Date: 3rd October, 2016 The British government under PM Theresa May has announced that Brexit negotiations will no later than end-March 2017. So Britain will be leaving the EU by early-2019. The uncertainty this generates for the UK economy, business investment and the role of the City of London will keep sterling weak. We remain short versus the US dollar with a target of 1.20.
